Stretch, Learn, and Teach: Parent-Child Yoga Adventure - Spots 30 
Join us for an exciting and interactive yoga experience where kids and parents become movement explorers! In this unique session, children will discover the joys of yoga instruction and practice while connecting with their parents. Young participants will learn about the world of movement education, get a chance to practice yoga poses, and even try their hand at being a yoga instructor themselves. 

During this 45-minute yoga workshop, kids will: 

• Learn basic yoga movements and poses
• Understand what it's like to be a movement instructor
• Practice teaching yoga poses to their parents
• Share their newfound teaching skills with the group
• Build confidence in physical education and communication 

Perfect for curious kids ages 9-13 who want to explore movement, teaching, and family connection. No prior yoga experience necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to move and learn! Afterwards enjoy a tour of UO’s Physical Education & Recreation Center.

Join us on the main floor of Johnson Hall for a drop-in, self-paced, interactive activity! Undertake this UO live-action puzzle game and scavenger hunt. Participants move through puzzle stations, each with clues unlocking a different letter inside of boxes. To unlock the final prize, you need each letter from the stations to make a final word. You will solve puzzles, unscramble words, decipher messages, and unlock a fun prize—all while learning about the UO and more. This fun activity inspires critical thinking and problem solving and is geared toward a wide range of ages!

This interactive session invites kids and parents to explore the University of Oregon's state-of-the-art Student Recreation Center. Participants will discover the incredible spaces where students stay active, train, and pursue their fitness goals and an insider's look at how students work, and build their careers right on campus.

During this adventure, kids and parents will: 

• Take a tour (or self-guided) of the student recreation center
• See amazing fitness facilities up close
• Learn about the variety of activities and spaces available to students
• Meet current student employees and hear about their experiences
• Understand how recreation contributes to overall wellness
• Explore unique areas like climbing walls, fitness studios, and sports courts
• Get insights into career development and work experience opportunities 

This is a fantastic opportunity for children to imagine their future college experience, see what campus recreation looks like, understand the value of student employment, and get excited about health and fitness. The tour provides a fun, behind-the-scenes glimpse into university life and wellness opportunities.
